Written in the Stars: Character Astrology, Part 1

I’ll be the first to admit that I love astrology.

Do I truly believe in it? Uhhh… we’ll get back to that. Can your entire life and personality be boiled down to what a bunch of planets supposedly represent? No comment. Is it fun as heck to read about yourself and say, “Oh my God, that is so me,” to the vaguest descriptions? YES.

I know I’m not alone in that, which is probably why a common question I get about my characters is what’s their sign?

To all of those who have asked, I’m finally going to reveal the sun signs of my main characters! Of course, there’s more to astrology than sun signs (like moon signs, rising signs, etc.) but for the sake of my sanity, we gotta keep this simple.

In this post (Part 1) you’ll find the signs of the characters from The Fairytale Series (OUAONS, AN, Dryland, R&T) and All That is Gold. For my other stories and characters, check back in the future for Part 2!

Here we go!

First off, let’s have some astrology-themed music to set the mood.

Second of all, my source for the descriptions of the signs is from Cafe Astrology, which is great for those just starting out with this whole zodiac thing because it breaks things down in easy to understand ways. Is it the best source for astrology stuff? Ehhh. But it gets the point across! (Also, I used this resource to make the graphics)

And last, some of the character birthdays/signs are subject to change. Sometimes I forget about established timelines, y’all! Sometimes I gotta change things to get them to fit into the story! Sometimes I just say “who cares!!” and do what I want! You never know!

But, for the time being, here are the (current) signs of my (important) characters!

Sun Sign – Aries

Ah, Taliana, our favorite April fool. She’s a fire sign if I’ve ever met one, that’s for sure. Ready to argue or fight at the drop of a hat, this girl’s got Aries energy all over her and she’ll make sure you know it.

SEBASTIAN PHILLIPS

Birthday – August 23

Sun Sign – Leo/Virgo cusp

Y’all can fight amongst yourselves as to whether or not you believe cusp signs are a “thing”, but in my little Fairytale World they are, and Sebby here was born right when Leo turns into Virgo, so he’s a little bit of both. He’s got the ego and loyalty of a Leo with the sense of responsibility of a Virgo.

Our girl is definitely optimistic and wants to believe the best of people, even if that’s not the best choice in the end. And she’s definitely outspoken—mentally at least. She knows when to keep her mouth shut for the sake of her position in the world, but she certainly has the occasional slip up.
